The Lake Sorapiss (1.926 m) is the fascinating destination of this hike. This hike is well known and usually very busy, but the charm of the lake Sorapiss and its unique turquoise color, make it a must-hike. The hike is easy and effortless, even walkable by the children, but care must be taken to a short section at about half excursion, where the trail becomes steep and is equipped with metal stairs and metal cable. If you take with you people not accustomed to hiking it is a good idea to assure them in these traits with rope and carabiner.
The mountain range where we go is called Sorapiss, a superb very wild mountain with few huts. The hut we reach is the Rifugio Vandelli, located in a protected position in the heart of the mountain. The hike starts from Tre Croci Pass, where you can leave your car (8km from Cortina). You can reach the pass also by bus with the public service starting from Cortina or Auronzo Bus Stations. From the Pass, take path 215 that begin to ascent inside the Sorapiss, first in th wood, than on the mountainside, with a great panorama.

Following the path does not present orientation difficulties. In about 1,30/2,00 hrs you will reach the Vandelli Hut.
